WOW, the last several trips with several other campers we have been on there have been last minute changes and people want to arrive a day or two early or want to stay longer and the worst case was we had a couple that needed to be on a different site for one night. There was someone in the site they were to use and as soon as the site was free they were able to move onto it. We've had folks stay longer and not have an issue. We must be lucky!

I have no suggestions to offer only sympathy! What a terrible thing to have happen. It almost happened to us on more than one occasion, now I'm so crazy about putting the awning up if it looks like the weather could turn. It's easy to forget though. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Stoney Crest Plantation Campground
Does anybody know anything about this place? We are going to a Boot Camp graduation at Parris Island. We only need to spend one night. We have a Class A, 40+ foot. I can't really find any information on this place. There is only one review I found and it was a complaint mainly about the amenities. We won't need those, so that's not an issue. I'm just looking for something close to PI. Any information anybody has will be greatly appreciated.

What a patriot you are. Doing your part to help the economy grow. I'm sure it won't stop there either. With new digs you have to get all new stuff. What fun! Best of luck to you. I must admit, I too am doing my part to fuel the economy. But then my husband would claim that that is an ongoing mission of mine, to single handedly spur on the economy. Yes, I want to do my patriotic duty to ensure that future generations of Americans can have a vibrant economy in which to live. Damn, I should go into politics!

I guess these dealers aren't familiar with the old adage, A fast nickel beats a slow dime. They will learn soon enough that it's better to have a narrow profit sale rather than no sale. With the way that the RV dealers seem to be going belly up, I don't think I'd want to be stuck with a product line and no manufacturer to back it up. That will make sales FLAT! Good luck with the negotiations, I'd stand firm and let them come around to your way of thinking. My husband and I walked away from a car dealership once over $50. The salesman said to him, "I can't believe you are going to walk out over $50." To which my husband told him, as we were walking out the door, "I can't believe you are going to let a sale walk out your door over $50." There's always another seller, there isn't always another sale.

I would have to have a reservation at a back-up place. Even if you lost the deposit. No scratch that -- I'd find somewhere to go where you could make reservations and have a plan. I'm not good at that kind of unexpected glitches. I have to have a plan.

We sleep in the same position we do at home, I'm actually further from the door, but I'm the one that will get up with the dogs. Partly because I spoil them and I'll take them out before I do anything else, but also, I can convince myself it was all a bad dream having to get out of bed and I'll come back in and go back to sleep. If my husband had to walk the dogs that would be it, he'd be up, and if he's up, I'm up.

Oh I had a radio that would come on with the TV remote. The TV wasn't even something that came with the camper, but if you turned on the TV, the radio would come on. I always had to keep the volume on the lowest setting, or if you turned the TV off at night the radio would come on and could scare the heck out of you.

Now we have a mission, we have the two other sisters that are going to be at Willow Tree while we are there that we have to look up, and we have to find Jack, Neva, and Justin and say HI from the Rogers. We are going to have a great time!
